ABOUT MARY ANN YOUNG
Mary Ann Young is a songwriter and composer who creates cinematic, emotionally driven instrumental music for film, television, and media. Her recent work has increasingly focused on cinematic instrumentals rooted in a neoclassical and ambient style of musical expression. She is currently focused on building a growing catalog of cinematic instrumental music for sync licensing opportunities.
INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING RECOGNITION
Over the years, Mary Ann has had opportunities to travel, collaborate with gifted musicians, and share her music through interviews and songwriting contests. Several of her songs have received special recognition in these international contests. Recently in 2023, she achieved Semi-Finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest in the Love Songs category. In 2008, Mary Ann was recognized in the Great American Song Contest where she placed 5th in the Christian/Inspirational category. The following year in 2009, she placed 3rd in the Christian/Inspirational category, receiving an Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting Award for both years. In 2019, Mary Ann was named a Finalist in the Singer/Songwriter category in the Great American Song Contest.
